Postdoctoral Fellowship in JMRSL-CEReS Chiba University
Postdoctoral Fellowship Opportunity
Josaphat Microwave Remote Sensing Laboratory (JMRSL) in Center for Environmental Remote Sensing (CEReS), Chiba University opened Postdoctoral Fellowship Program (one staff) to hold research development on microwave remote sensing field, especially development of synthetic aperture radar (SAR) system for unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), aircraft, microsatellite; SAR image processing and applications (polarimetric SAR, DInSAR, PS-InSAR etc) for disaster monitoring.
Salary is based on Japanese government system by considering the previous career and age (estimated 300,000 to 400,000 Japanese Yen plus health insurance and transportation fee, air ticket).
The period of postdoctoral fellowship is Two years since 1 October 2016 and could be extended base on the research track record (number of publications on peer-reviewed journals, book etc).
Document Submission and Dateline
The documents below must be sent electronically to Prof Josaphat Tetuko Sri Sumantyo (email address as contact person below, less than 10 MB per email) not late of 10 July 2016.
1. Curriculum Vitae (CV) that list up the publication (peer-reviewed papers, conferences, books etc), patents, research grants, research interest (keywords) etc
2. Research Plan and contribution to our Strategic Priority Research Program Program (2 sheets of A4) in microwave remote sensing field, especially on development of synthetic aperture radar (SAR) system including antenna development and spaceborne antenna, image processing and applications for disaster monitoring.
This Postdoctoral Fellowship is supported by Chiba University Headquarter and Ministry of Education and Technology (MEXT) for academic and research function reinforcement as one of six Chiba University’s Strategic Priority Research Program Program.
Duty of Postdoctoral Fellow
During the postdoctoral fellowship period, the fellow must hold the research on microwave remote sensing and publish the research on high level journal (IEEE TGRS, IEEE GRSL, International Journal of Remote Sensing, Remote Sensing Environment etc). The fellow also must collaborate the research and join publications with our students and researchers.
